The Southside Master Gardener Association (SSMGA) supports the Virginia Cooperative Extension and its mission to “enable people to improve their lives through an educational process that uses scientific knowledge focused on issues and needs”.
Plants for Sale at the SoBo Farmers Market
The VCE Southside Master Gardener Association will have a plant sale at the South Boston Farmers Market On Saturday, October 19 from 8 a.m. to noon. The sale will be held rain or shine.
All types of ornamental plants will be for sale including perennials, bulbs and shrubs. There will also be some garden items such as plant stakes, garden art and decorative pots.
These and other plants will be for sale at the South Boston Farmers Market on Saturday October 19 from 8 to noon.
Fall is a great time to plant because the plantings have the opportunity to get a good root system established before spring encourages leaf growth and flowering.
As always, there will be fresh produce available. The market is located on 300 Broad Street.
